A complex timber stair
This flight of stairs was specified with a very tightly curved inside string to match with a 1930’s aesthetic for the building. We fully detailed all the stair components in 3D and were able to submit this clear 3D model to our client for approval to manufacture.
Using our in-house CNC routing and laser cutting facility we were then able to take the manufacturing data directly from the computer model to produce all the stair components.
The tight curves were assembled from a number of ply components and correctly achieved the complex shapes required.
The stair was constructed in three modules for easy handling and delivery and was successfully installed on site. Another great illustration of the versatility of our design and production.
